Dinosaur Den Child Development Center offers a wonderful environment for infants. The "Baby Bronto Room" follows the individual napping and feeding schedules of each child. The staff will work with your infant on reaching developmental milestones, including large motor skills and language through floor play, books, music, flash cards and sensory toys. Basic sign language will be taught so that your infant can better communicate basic needs: Eat, drink, more, please, etc.
Dinosaur Den's one- and two-year-old rooms follow a routine daily schedule which includes music, story time, circle time, art, indoor play and outside play. The staff will work with your child on reaching age-appropriate developmental milestones and plan activities to develop their large and fine motor skills, as well as language and social development. Our one-year-old "Stegosaurus Room" provides care for children who are at least 12 months of age, walking on their own, eating table food and taking one afternoon nap. To help one-year-olds communicate better, the staff will teach and use simple sign language for eat, drink, more, please, all finished and thank you. Potty training will begin in the two-year-old "T-Rex Room" before the child's third birthday and once the parent(s) decide(s) a child is ready.
Dinosaur Den has a young preschool "Triceratops Room" for potty trained three- and four-year-olds and a pre-kindergarten "Dimetrodon Room" for four- and five- year-olds. Both preschool rooms follow a routine daily schedule, which includes circle time, art, music, small group learning centers (including art, manipulatives, cars/trucks, housekeeping/dramatic play and science,) outside play, and special activities. The staff will work on preschool skills, including writing and scissor use, working to prepare your child for entering kindergarten. A basic evaluation will be conducted and sent home assessing your child’s progress on their pre-kindergarten skills.
